What better colors to wear on a cold winter day (although it wasn’t the season’s coldest) than winter pastels and a pop of burgundy? The day I wore this outfit we went for lunch at Ergon, a nice restaurant hailing from Thessaloniki to celebrate my name day (back in December). The restaurant easily became a favorite of mine and a review is coming up on the blog next!
After lunch we wandered around the neighborhood and shot some of the photos outside Electra Metropolis, a new luxury hotel which opened recently. I haven’t been inside yet, but I loved those gold lamps on the external arcades and caught a glimpse of the café, called Library which looks very promising! Our last stop for the day was B madame in Valaoritou street for dessert. I’m going to review this one soon too!
In the time being you can read my latest review about Estrella Athens!
Now let’s talk about my outfit, which features two of my favorite clothing pieces: the grey coat and the burgundy trousers.
This grey coat is a favorite purchase of mine from Boston 2 years ago. It was so cold there that I had to wait for April to roll around to wear it (photo proof here). Upon returning to Athens, where winters are admittedly milder, I wear this coat A LOT.
The burgundy trousers are also a new-ish addition to my wardrobe. Thankfully they coordinate with most of my clothes color wise: grey, black, blue, white, cream, light pink. Plus they match this Swarovski Crystaldust bracelet (c/o) perfectly! I’m known to color coordinate my clothes and accessories and this time was no exception. A former colleague of mine was always astonished on how well I could color coordinate things that were bought separately! But hey, that’s me!
Hi Anna!
I love burgundy in winter, it’s a perfect shade to add some color and warmth to a winter outfit. I also really like your coat, the light grey/burgundy combo is very nice. I miss wearing winter clothes sometimes… I especially miss layering, because it gives so many styling opportunities. But here in Singapore you just need to wear a dress and sandals and you’re done. It’s very handy but sometimes it’s a bit boring too :p

Weather in Singapore looks like summer in Greece, but I get it that it’s boring to dress in the same fashion every day! I even get bored in late September when its still warm in Athens and I crave for some winter-y clothes!
