White eyelet shorts (+shoes too)!

August is here and most Athenians leave for vacations. They go to the islands, the mainland, anywhere and everywhere in order to escape the city for a few days. I’ve yet to go on holidays, so every  weekend I head to the southern suburbs of Athens (where my hometown is) for relaxation and of course swimming and lounging at the beach (and share beach snaps on Instagram). The setting This last weekend I took a stroll in Voula’s main square and took notice of a new cafe/bar/restaurant called Family (note: we love slashes in this country) which opened a few…

Floppy Hat

Last week my husband and I went on a day trip to Nafplio to meet with friends It was hot and sunny so I opted for a light sun dress and my trusted floppy hat! The latter is a new addition to my accessories list! I always had an affinity for hats, but smaller ones like fedoras. The floppy hat though was love at first sight! I was playing around with it at Macy’s while my friends looked for gifts back in March. When I placed it on me I realized that it suits me far better than fedoras…so I had to make…

I love New York!

That photo shoot should have taken place in New York in order to match the t-shirt. But it happened in Cambridge, MA next to the Charles River and across from Harvard Business School (which you can see in a photo in the background). Now, this t-shirt is the only souvenir t-shirt I own. My souvenir collection is usually about magnets and shot glasses. For the latter I have a cool display that my uncle made for me. Needless to say that it is already full!! But t-shirts? Never.I find them too tacky and not well made. That is not the case…

Shades of Blue

Finally an outfit post, showcasing spring clothes and colors as I promised in my previous one! My husband and I took advantage of the lovely weather last Sunday (which was also Easter Sunday for us, as we’re Orthodox Christians) and ventured out to Beacon Hill for some photos. Now, the hill’s cobblestone streets are not the best for wearing heels, but I absolutely needed to take my Prada pumps out of storage! It’s been more than 6 months since I last wore them! In true Anna fashion I decided to color co-ordinate my outfit (except for the shoes). The shirt has…

Grey Coat

Spring is finally here in Boston! Yesterday was a glorious day! Today as well! Big news, I know! I even spotted many crocus flowers the other day, while running errands. These photos though were shot last weekend though, after we visited the Museum of Fine Arts. I’m happy that I am finally able to wear this grey coat that I got from Armani Exchange during the winter sales! To be honest everything that I bought during those sales waited patiently in my closet to be worn, as during the winter months I had one particular uniform that kept me warm! I…

DIY statement Necklace with double braid

The Idea A statement necklace is my favorite accessory, but if you’re a regular reader, you already know that! Also it’s a perfect way to elevate the simplest shirt of dress! An ideal add on for Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties I dare say! Making a statement necklace that would include embroidery floss and some kind of (faux) bling has been in my mind for a long time. Specifically since I bought a statement necklace last year. It also helped that I found a similar DIY in Honestly WTF. But you see I aimed for a much more bolder…

The blazer and t-shirt combination

This t-shirt was the last thing I shopped from Athens before flying here to Boston. I loved the color so much, I had to make it mine!! My friend who I was out with told me “you’re crazy, you’re going to the US, you will shop there!!” and I was like “yes, but I love this top and have to get it”! I love t-shirts because I can not only wear them by themselves when its warm enough, but I can also layer them under my cardigans during winter. And trust me, I have many cardigans! They’re usually beige, black…
