My ideal tropical print dress

Until 8 years ago I didn’t own anything floral…I went only for monochrome (meaning one color and not black and white) clothing pieces or striped one, but never floral. Until I found the perfect floral dress for me…it was dark blue and had brown, white, burnt orange and baby blue colored flowers. A few years ago I stumbled upon this tropical print dress, during the summer sales! I was in a shop with my mum and she looked for a dress and of course I perused the racks too and found this little gem! I loved the colors: emerald-green, blue,…

What to Wear: Greek Holidays

Planning your Greek holiday outfits shouldn’t be difficult right? Toss in a couple of bikinis, beach cover-ups, shorts, and dresses and you’re done! But there are things that you might forget or overlook, like a mosquito repellent or a pashmina. Been there done that! So I decided to round-up all my local knowledge from vacationing around Greece in this post. This way I can help you fill your luggage with functional clothes and accessorie What to wear on the Beach   Swimwear is the key here! Bikini, one-piece, whatever suits you. I prefer bikinis, but this year I indulged in…

What to Wear: Sightseeing in Knossos

Last week I spent the first part of my vacations in Crete! The plan included relaxing, swimming, attending a wedding, road tripping and visiting Knossos, which was the palace of the mythic King Minos and also the oldest palace in Europe! I will update you with more details on a separate post, but for today I’ll talk about my outfit and give tips on what to wear while sightseeing in Knosos (and any archaeological site in Greece really)! Comfortable shoes is the priority here, as the terrain is rough at some points plus palace of Knossos is huge so you’re bound…

White eyelet shorts (+shoes too)!

August is here and most Athenians leave for vacations. They go to the islands, the mainland, anywhere and everywhere in order to escape the city for a few days. I’ve yet to go on holidays, so every  weekend I head to the southern suburbs of Athens (where my hometown is) for relaxation and of course swimming and lounging at the beach (and share beach snaps on Instagram). The setting This last weekend I took a stroll in Voula’s main square and took notice of a new cafe/bar/restaurant called Family (note: we love slashes in this country) which opened a few…

Floppy Hat

Last week my husband and I went on a day trip to Nafplio to meet with friends It was hot and sunny so I opted for a light sun dress and my trusted floppy hat! The latter is a new addition to my accessories list! I always had an affinity for hats, but smaller ones like fedoras. The floppy hat though was love at first sight! I was playing around with it at Macy’s while my friends looked for gifts back in March. When I placed it on me I realized that it suits me far better than fedoras…so I had to make…

Shades of Blue

Finally an outfit post, showcasing spring clothes and colors as I promised in my previous one! My husband and I took advantage of the lovely weather last Sunday (which was also Easter Sunday for us, as we’re Orthodox Christians) and ventured out to Beacon Hill for some photos. Now, the hill’s cobblestone streets are not the best for wearing heels, but I absolutely needed to take my Prada pumps out of storage! It’s been more than 6 months since I last wore them! In true Anna fashion I decided to color co-ordinate my outfit (except for the shoes). The shirt has…

Summer Blue

Is it in Miami? (nope) Malibu? (nope) Those palm trees you see are located in the National Garden in Athens. I’m spending my last week in Athens, before heading to Crete for my vacations and since I couldn’t hit the beach for technical reasons, I spent last Saturday afternoon in the city, eating sushi in Furin Kazan, stopping by the National Garden for some photos and then hitting the stores for luggage shopping. For this outing I chose an all (light) blue outfit consisting of my favorite denim shorts by Replay that I own for more than 5 years and…
