Mixing Neutrals and Burgundy

Mixing Neutrals & Burgundy

What better colors to wear on a cold winter day (although it wasn’t the season’s coldest) than winter pastels and a pop of burgundy? The day I wore this outfit we went for lunch at Ergon, a nice restaurant hailing from Thessaloniki to celebrate my name day (back in December). The restaurant easily became a favorite of mine and a review is coming up on the blog next! After lunch we wandered around the neighborhood and shot some of the photos outside Electra Metropolis, a new luxury hotel which opened recently. I haven’t been inside yet, but I loved those…

Shades of Blue

Finally an outfit post, showcasing spring clothes and colors as I promised in my previous one! My husband and I took advantage of the lovely weather last Sunday (which was also Easter Sunday for us, as we’re Orthodox Christians) and ventured out to Beacon Hill for some photos. Now, the hill’s cobblestone streets are not the best for wearing heels, but I absolutely needed to take my Prada pumps out of storage! It’s been more than 6 months since I last wore them! In true Anna fashion I decided to color co-ordinate my outfit (except for the shoes). The shirt has…

Grey Coat

Spring is finally here in Boston! Yesterday was a glorious day! Today as well! Big news, I know! I even spotted many crocus flowers the other day, while running errands. These photos though were shot last weekend though, after we visited the Museum of Fine Arts. I’m happy that I am finally able to wear this grey coat that I got from Armani Exchange during the winter sales! To be honest everything that I bought during those sales waited patiently in my closet to be worn, as during the winter months I had one particular uniform that kept me warm! I…

A night at Boston Ballet

It’s been a week since I came back from California. A week spent with my friends from Greece which came with me to Boston after our California road trip! We braved the cold and did sightseeing, shopping and dining in Boston. We also visited the Boston Opera House to see the newest Boston Ballet performance called Shades of Sound. The show was brilliant (especially the Chroma part which you can see a preview here), but it did not make me miss my ballet days as ballet is so physically demanding and I’m not flexible at all!

Winter Uniform

So, this is pretty much my cold weather style, rain or shine! Yesterday we got (yet) another snow storm, slightly milder than Juno, but strong nonetheless. I think it’s called Linus (the storm). Anyways, I decided to take some photos, not for the outfit’s sake, but for posterity…You see it’s been the first time in my life that I’ve seen so.much.snow! I grew up in a coastal suburb of Athens, where snow is rare and it doesn’t get more than 10cm maybe? So yes, I’m pretty excited with seeing snow (even though I understand and see the consequences of such an…

Afternoon Stroll in Commonwealth Avenue

How could I possibly ignore the beauty of Commonwealth Avenue and not shoot an outfit post there? Yesterday was a lovely day and after enjoying brunch (which has almost become an institution here on Sundays) in Harvard Square, we ventured out in Boston for some photo shooting! If you’re a regular here, you probably seen these grey jeans many times. What can I say?! It’s my favorite pair of trousers! It’s so versatile and can be dressed up or down easily! The sweater though is a new addition. And being in the US it comes from a brand that even…

3 ways to add yellow to your looks

Summer is almost here and what a brighter way to add some sunshine to your looks than adding on yellow accessories! Personally I love some neon yellow earrings like the ones I’m wearing here and a couple of neon yellow bangles like the one featured in the collage above. But without further ado, here are 3 simple ways to add some rays of sun in your looks (monochrome or colorful ones) 1. The Scarf I spotted this scarf on Folli Follie’s twitter feed and I immediately thought of summer! It immediately adds color to any monochrome look, and will create…

Casual Weekend Outfit

When I started blogging almost 6 years ago, outfit posts were not on the menu. I envisioned it more as a fashion commentary and travel blog, but things evolved and a realised that since I have a personal blog talking about fashion and style it makes sense to showcase my style as well. So, reluctantly I started posting outfit posts 3 years ago. Still I don’t post outfits frequently due to timetable restrictions and being lazy. But after being absent from the “outfit post” front for a while (an winter doesn’t help me much either), I am back with a…

Black and Grey

I bought this faux leather skirt this past spring and I’m still wondering why did such a skirt (and I refer mostly to the line rather than the material) missed from my wardrobe! I kind of needed a mini black skirt with a straight line, which can be also worn with flat shoes (not all skirts go with flat shoes, especially when you’re a bit on the short side). So far I’ve worn it with t-shirts and long sleeved tops, but I’m keen to pair it with knitwear as well come winter . This time I paired the skirt (it’s from…
