Sightseeing in Montreal

What a difference a season makes! I’ve been in Montreal 3 times total, but two of them where during winter time so I had to layer with warm clothes, winter hats and boots (something like that). During my last visit back in early May, the weather was so warm that I even wore shorts….in Canada! OK I know that summers are warm in Montreal and by warm I mean high temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius, but it’s something I hadn’t experienced before so I was more than happy to de-layer, go out and explore the city! We started our exploration…

Brunch at Beautys, Montreal

Another week, another brunch! It (almost) started to become a habit, right?! This week’s brunch post comes all the way from my trip to Montreal and took place at Beautys in the Mont Royal area.   I have to admit that it was one of the best brunches I had! Beautys is an old school diner, like the one we see in the movies (like Grease)! It’s only natural, since Beautys has been in business since 1942! Now, on to the menu, which features a large number of brunch goodies. They range from sandwiches to waffles, to omelets, to whatever your…

Juliette et Chocolat, Montreal

When I travel abroad I like to discover noteworthy restaurants or cafes that I can then recommend to other travelers and/or revisit in my own future travels! Juliette et Chocolat in Montreal falls in that category! I had my first “experience” there 5 years ago, because I HAD to visit a place that has the word “chocolate” in its title. I shared chocolate fondue with my brother and it didn’t disappoint! So on my latest trip to Montreal, Juliette was on the menu once more! This time I went for a drinking chocolate and boy it was hard to choose!…

2 Days in Montreal

Sooo…two weeks ago I packed up my little pink suitcase, took the warmest clothes I have and traveled to Montreal to visit my friends! It was not my first time there, but this mini trip was ideal for revisiting some favorite spots and discovering new ones. Oh and eat delicious food!! My friends are experts at getting me in places with yummy food and desserts and as I say, I have to fast for a few days before getting there! My trip to Montreal (by bus) was an adventurous, to say the least as there was a snowstorm that day in…
