2016 was the first in many years that I didn’t travel abroad. Yet I made up for it, by traveling a lot in Greece both for work and leisure. Kritamon wine bar/restaurant, Chania

Kritamon restaurant is located in Chania’s old town. It took its name from a plant that grows in the sand and is used in salads. It is a wine bar/ restaurant with an adjacent organic store, with clean and minimal design. To be honest, I loved the restaurant’s design as we passed by. The last weekend of September my husband and I spent 2 days in Chania, Crete for a wedding. It was the perfect opportunity to explore the city yet again, on season this time! The city was full of people; locals and visitors alike but less busy than it would be in August. The weather was pleasant (and breezy) making it ideal for long walks. Exploring Chania

This post has been a long time in the making, but I’m finally sharing with you my whereabouts in Chania, which I visited over the holidays! Chania is a very picturesque city in west Crete, famous for its Venetian build old port and old town full of cobblestone streets and colorful buildings. The city also played a great role in the efforts of Crete’s independence from the Ottoman rule and the unification with Greece.
